Art And Making Of Star Wars

star wars and martial arts?
i love both and want to find a martial art i can pracice that can kind of make you feel like your embarking on the journey to become a jedi. a weapon style maybe? something physical but also kind of spiritual and can be done alone. i dont care if you think im a nerd. im just asking if anyone has ideas for something like that and im bored. thanks in advance. hopefully i get the answer im looking for.
Kenjutsu (not Kendo) or Akido would be good. Both are difficult to learn alone.
Get (or make) a bokken (wooden sword, not the bamboo Kendo sword). Get a couple of good books or DVDs on use of the bokken or Japanese swordsmanship.
Books I recommend:
Bokken, Art of the Japanese Sword by Dave Lowry
Jo, Art of the Japanese Short Staff also by Dave Lowry
DVDs I recommend:
Introduction to Bokken and Kobudo by Ted Tabura
Samurai Swordsmanship (3 disc set) by Masayuki Shimabukuro
Aiki-Do (5 disc set) by Sam Combes
The 8 Deadly Samurai Sword Cuts of Miyamoto Musashi (3 disc set) by George W. Alexander
I got these from Black Belt Productions. Go to www.blackbeltmag.com and look in the "media" area for DVDs and books.
Start with the Bokken book by Dave Lowry. It is a great place to start. Then the Aiki-Do set (if you want a total martial art). If you want specifically sword techniques, go to the Introduction to Bokken and Kobudo DVD.
Volume 5 of the Aiki-Do set is good and the Samurai Swordsmanship series is GREAT!

The Making of LEGO Star Wars game by Three Melons

Everywhere I go I'm surrounded by Star Wars fanatics and characters and wannabes and memorabilia and lookalikes and movies and books and documentaries and impersonators and soundtracks and triliogies and sequals and prequals and lego and toys and the force and cast reunions and where are they nows and the making ofs…and…Star Wars makes me sick…
Splendor of the Mind’s Eye by Alan Dean Foster. Where Star Wars should have gone.
It's called Splinter of the Mind's Eye, not what you said, and no, Star Wars was just fine on the path it's creator set out for it. Even Foster wouldn't be so arrogant as you assume him to be to change it to something else.
As for the last comment you made, I have something to show you that will cure you of your 'found wisdom':
Why I Love The Phantom Menace:A Defense of the Unjustly Maligned Overture to the Star Wars Saga
YAY!!!!!?
My brother and I watched them when we were about 8 – my parents said we could understand it a bit better by then

You like Star Wars because you are a nerd.
Nerdiness was the predetermined condition which caused you to like Star Wars. You did not become a nerd simply because you like Star Wars. There is more to being a nerd than star wars.
Nerd characteristics- liking science, obsessive nature, high intelligence, and lack of social life- are all contributing factors to someone liking Star Wars.
btw Star Trek is way better.
Star Wars. (I’m not talking about the prequels; I’m talking about the whole darned thing.) This is especially difficult when all your friends are geeks. I just find the whole thing incredibly childish. I think George Lucas is a jerk, but I agree with him in that Star Wars is a kids’ movie and thus the presence of Jar-Jar Binks is justified.
LucasArts overlord Paul Meegan has expressed his desire to cobble together "authentic, immersive, high-quality Star Wars games."
Mee…
random stuff id like to see in the star trek sequel:
Alla fine per la serata film con i figli siamo passati da Star Wars in HD su chiavetta USB a ‘Qualcuno volò sul nido del cuculo’ in vecchio e sempre funzionante dvd. I bambini si stanno divertendo comunque molto con la scena del mucchio di picchiatelli in giro a pesca in barca.
Hmm, I followed his instructions and didn't get back to me maybe if I just say Yoda or perhaps Star Wars…
i dunno
Parece Star Wars. No se puede ir al mall en coleto pa una final de júlgol poh..
