Art Of Starwars Art Project help! Alternate universes?
Hey. So basically we need to convert a text book. Into like a book of like "art" and it has to have a theme. So my theme is alternate universes. For example, Hevan, Hell, Outerspace, Subconcious, Acid Trip world, dream, nightmare. And that's all I've got and I need more "worlds" and it cannot be something such as starwars or from like a movie - no copying.
Also. What should I do for hell. I'm thinking about drawing the gates, or actually using wire. Then I cut out flames from red, orange, and yellow material - but do you think that's tacky.
THANKS SO MUCH <3
You do know your universes.
I didn't know outerspace was considered a universe.

The Dark Knight arrives with tremendous hype (best superhero movie ever? posthumous Oscar for Heath Ledger?), and incredibly, it lives up to all of it. But calling it the best superhero movie ever seems like faint praise, since part of what makes the movie great--in addition to pitch-perfect casting, outstanding writing, and a compelling vision--is that it bypasses the normal fantasy element of the superhero genre and makes it all terrifyingly real...

What do I want visual effects or animation and media arts?
I want to do like special effects in movies like in inception or starwars, not like animating. When I look at art institute of Pitt.( thats where I want to go) I looked at the visual effects and it said that it was for like movie trailers and commercials and broadcasting which made me feel like it was more like doing titles for movies but I dont want to do animation? I really dont know what to do Im only a freshman so I have plenty of time to decide.
If its one of the Art Institutes run by EDMC, avoid them like a plague. They're open enrollment, they take ANYONE.
If you ask me, they're an elaborate corporate scam to funnel as many Government Pell grants and guaranteed loans out of students as they can and leave the students with the bill.
They're like McDonald's of Art "Colleges". They're a chain that is popping up everywhere. They buy out dying schools, rename them, keep the accreditation.
They may seem like they would be good, but it is all smoke and mirrors. Pretty building with pretty computers. Meanwhile, it will just ruin your life.
The market demand they say they're meeting is not the demand of the Job market, its the demand of the students. Students that graduated AI are struggling to get jobs and have over more than $50,000+ or $90,000+ in debt depending on what degree they went for. Degrees that are worthless in the job market.
Basically, AI is a degree mill. They use bloated success stats and circle logic to back them up.
They count students working at Toys R Us as in the field. Avoid them if you want to actually have a decent future.
If you really want to pursue your passion, go to a community college, study fine art, and then transfer into a state school. It will be cheaper and the money you save you can buy your own equipment and STILL have money left over for a better future.
Their job leads are bogus, they go to Monster, Craigslist, and career builder just like everyone else. Their top employer is HOME DEPOT (Check their own website) and I guarantee none of those are art jobs.
Don't make the same mistake my friends and I did. We'll be paying for it for the rest of our lives.
If you go with AI you'll be folding clothes at Target or hawking video games at Toys R Us for $8.25 an hour and struggling to pay $90,000 with bill collectors haunting your every waking moment with no way to stop them because there is no bankruptcy protection on Student loans.
The US liberal's philosophy is steeped in class struggle. It's primary roots are about making person X feel jealous of person Y enough to grant the government the power to correct the "injustice" as if the act of engaging in commerce were a violent act of theft in need of government correction similar to regular theft.
I don't think most cons believe you have actually read those works, but rather that your philosophy owes Marx as the source of it's roots even if you don't wish to go as far as Lenin or Stalin or Mao, you share the same philosophical underpinnings.
Not Stalin though. Stalin was a thug, not a philosopher.
Officers are expected to educate themselves in these books but that doesn't mean they are doctrine. There are alot of books that can help someone understand different types of leadership. The best is FM 22-100. That is doctrine.
Oh one of our staff offices had a quote from a Nazi General. It was like " Predicting the actions of the Americans is useless. They don't read their own field manuals or follow their own doctrine" something like that. It was kind of funny.
A blend of both, for sure: The Middle Path.
One should always live the present moment. If you're enjoying, taking an off, party like its no one's business ! and don't think about anything else.
And if you're working hard on something, taking something seriously, you concentrate on it, taking out all the distractions and the incentives you derive from your hard work.
The key is to enjoy what you do, go with the flow and DON"T anticipate.
But one should be aware of the degree of seriousness you attribute to something. If you keep a tab on that, you know where to draw a line, create a balance.
Maaan, I've been looking for this too. I emailed the artist (Matt Busch) but haven't gotten a response. If they do contact me, I'll post here…keep the question open if you can.
I can't think of a better holiday present for the Star Wars/Zombie movie fan…
I would think that by the time they get those stars on their shoulders, they should be in the position to write those books.
