The link between ACTING and VISUAL ARTS?

Ever realised how these two complement each other and involve much the same talents?

Portraying something by physically performing it and drawing or painting it is much the same skill.

Think about it, why are some of the greatest actors skilled in visual arts? A few examples:

Robert de niro's father was an abstract expressionist
Jack nicholson offered a job as an animator due to his comic drawing skills
Orlando bloom excelled in visual arts at school

the list goes on and on.

Thoughts?

That's an easy one. Art is genetic. It ties into itself. Not just visual arts vs. performing arts, but musical art and every other type of artistic creativity. If you have a parent that is artistic, odds are you will be too. It might manifest itself in a different way than with them, but it's the same genetics, just different offshoots of it. My grandmother is a painter. My father is a sketcher. I'm an actor and a musician. It's all in the family.

a few questions about psp.?

so, i have the star wars psp slim. 4 gb memory stick, and 3.60 fimware.

if i format my memory card, will it delete my music and game saves that are saved?

i have music and videos on my psp, but now when i try to put new things on, they always become corrupted for some reason. is something wrong?

if i update my psp firmware to 3.80, will it help, and will it delete the game saves and music and stuff that i have saved on my memory stick?

and there is a folder in my pictures that when i try to delete it, it says "Delete failed. The folder contains data of types other than image data." anything i can do to fix this problem?

A: Yes, it will delete all your data in every folder of your PSP, and it will also delete every folder that you've made manually. it'll delete everything in the folders that are suppose to be on the memory stick and leave the folders empty. This will be done if you formate your memory stick from the psp not from your computer, if you do is from your computer you can choose what to delete or you can back up your data to your pc and when you format it, copy it back over to the psp.

Is your memory card legit? original sony or from the original manufacturter? There are alot of fake memory cards out there, i have a memory card that i bought on ebay, it is a sony memory card but it isn't from sony, its home made lol. Go to your PSP and go under Video, Music or Games and press Triangle on your Memory stick, it'll show you the information, if it says MagicGate: Supported, then it's real, if it shows MagicGate: Unknown, then its a fake. Why it comes out corrupted if its real? well it probably has some bad sectors, you might have dropped it or put weight on it, or may be you didn't take it out correctly, so reformat it and see what happens, but if its a fake you can't do much.

Q: if i update my psp firmware to 3.80, will it help, and will it delete the game saves and music and stuff that i have saved on my memory stick?

A: With the corrupting files i don't think it'll help because its the memory card problem not the firmware, also if you upgrade it won't delete your data, atleast for me it didn't,i had to upgrade from 2.60 to 3.52 and it didn't delete anything of mine but i can't be sure from 360 to 380, but more than likley no it won't delete your data, even though i regret upgrading lol later i had to downgrade my psp to custom firmware so i dont have to keep spending money of games lol now i just play all games with one umd.

A: Pictures is probably one of the core folders so you won't be able to delete that, i think its cause of that, but im not 100% sure.

Is the green screen today what audio and color once were to film?

Many silent film producers were reluctant to embrace "talking" pictures because they felt that it would detract attention from aesthetic details. Looking at the mise en scene in good silent films, I can understand their worries. Then purists didn't want to make movies in color because the quality of color film was so bad at the time it came out.

Do you think that CGI and the ever-prevalent use of the green screen is the new issue in filmmaking? I think this technology is amazing and have seen it put to perfect use, but it seems like most directors (particularly Hollywood) abuse it and do it sloppily. Do films like "Sin City" and the Star Wars prequel really benefit from being shot in shallow digital with actors standing on a stage?

I don't personally like it, but I do know that it can be done very well.
Maybe once technology catches up and we can make if perfectly lifelike- PERFECTLY- maybe we can revisit the idea in filmmaking.
